Love this band sadly…
Being a Canadian is confusing because you sound like an American, write like a Brit and throw in just enough French words to freak everyone out.
The phantasmagorical and surreal animal sculptures by Canadian artist Ellen Jewett. Between dream and nightmare, some strange creations born of a symbiosis between organic and mechanical elements, a meeting between fantasy, gothic and steampunk. Some very detailed sculptures in clay on a metal frame.

Caux Collective Introduces: Kotama Boubane
Sometimes there are projects you come across that have already been covered a hundred times over, and you feel like writing about it yourself would just be like lighting a match in a blizzard. However, there are some, such as this fantastic project from Canadian Artist Kotama Boubane - appropriately named ‘Melting Words’ - that you can’t help but cover, even if everybody else is already talking about them, purely out of the love of the creativity. Whilst it may not portray the most time consuming or complicated methodology, the subtle, esoteric process of presenting phrases we, as a race, find so hard to utter, in such a fleeting form as melting ice, is beautifully poignant.
If you’d like to see more from this project, or you’d like to take a look at some of Kotama’s many other pieces, spanning over 10 years of artistic practise, head over to his website, as linked earlier in the post.
A Sand Castle Suburb Consumed by the Ocean | Chad Wright
CJWHO: facebook | twitter | pinterest | subscribeMasterplan is a installation by designer and artist Chad Wright inspired by his own experiences growing up in a sprawling suburb of Southern California. The piece is meant to juxtapose the playful childhood experience of building sand castles on the beach with his brother, versus the grim, modern-day reality of our current real estate collapse. Learn more over on his website. Photographed by Lynn Kloythanomsup of Architectural Black.
